EULOGY OF THE LATE PST PETER OTIENO OSANO
FAMILY HISTORY
The late Pastor Peter Otieno Osano was born in 1954 to the late Mzee Zedekiah Osano and the late Maritha Olweny Osano of Gem Rae location Gem Nam sub-location Kisumu county.
He was the first born son of Mzee Zedekiah Osano and his siblings were the late Jael Akeyo Omondi, the late Hulda Aluko Osano , Joan Atieno Odoyo ,Richard Okoth Osano, Pamela Anyango Osano, Luka Aluko Osano, Mary Achieng Odhiambo, Habil Omondi. He also had two step sisters the late Nora Juma Mboya and Prisca Opiyo Nyakwaka.
He was brother in-law to Mary Okoth,Tabitha Aluko,Beatrice Omondi,Phoebe Omondi,Pamela Okoth,Julia Otieno and the late Selina Aluko.
His cousin were Henry Omondi Obwa ,Dennis Okoth Obwa,Martin Obwa,Aluko Orayo and the late Joshua Otieno Orayo among others.
MARRIAGE
In 1979 he married Asenath Atieno Ouma and God blessed them with eight children namely; Maryliz Auma , Mathew Amonde, Dickson Odongo, Brenda Akinyi, Sheila Adhiambo, Gillian Achieng, Zedekiah Osano and Rasoa Akoth. He was father in law to Eric Opondo,Dovina Wangolo .
Mzee was a grandfather to Laureen Praise,Jeremy Worship,Godfrey Ouma,Fidel Otieno,Richard,Emma Blessing,Emmy Ishara,May,Amanda and Trinna.
He was uncle to Mevine, Ephie, Zedekiah,Judy,Beatrice,Sam,Edith, Faith,Dan,
Fred,Monica,Fredrick,Violet,Ted among others
EDUCATION
He started his education at Rae Primary School in early sixties and later joined Wang Apala High School for his the O level education then finished in 1974.
CAREER
He joined Mzee John Ouko as an apprentice and trained as a mechanic then later furthered his training and achieved a Diploma in power Mechanics and started working as a specialized mechanic in Eldoret Town. He worked for a number of companies including HZ Company, East Africa turning ltd, Bhogal’s garage Ltd, Sagoos garage Ltd, Mospa Ltd, Motor mart Ltd etc.
In 1990 he started his own garage namely Sosiani Auto Services which operated until 1994 when he retired home and started farming.
SPIRITUAL LIFE
He received Jesus Christ as his personal savior in the year 1997 at Miracle Revival Pentecostal Church Kisumu after being testified for by a brother and now Pastor Njoroge who had been his longtime friend.
He heard the calling to preach the word of God in 2010. He served under the leadership of the shepherd of God Rev Musa Iddi and the servant of God Rev Emmanuel Keya and ministered the word of God in many parts of the country.
Prior to his demise he was assisting the servant of God Ismael Mwadzombo Rimba in Katito and Sondu branches of Miracle Revival Pentecostal church.
ILLNESS AND DEMISE
His illness started late last year but recovered and went back to preach only for this condition to reoccur in the beginning of November 2023.He was taken to the hospital for checkup and diagnosed with lung problem and arthritis. He passed away on Friday17th Nov 2023
